Ubiquiti Launches UniFi Dream Router
It’s so weird that Ubiquiti (UI) has stopped pretending that Early Access (EA) kit is a secret, except when it suits them. But, I guess it’s their ball, they can throw a tantrum and go home whenever they want. I just wish there was more consistency around the whole thing. Oh, and this router thing looks pretty slick; well maybe not the SD expansion bit. I’m not sure that an SD card will be able to support the massive writes of an always recording NVR configuration. IMO, a USB 3.0 port would have been much more reliable.
The UniFi Dream Router (UDR) is a plug-and-play UniFi OS Console that hosts a built in high performance 4×4 WiFi 6 access point, an integrated PoE Switch, and a 128GB internal hard drive to instantly run UniFi Network, Protect, and Talk right out of the box! | COMING SOON TO EARLY ACCESS
