$1500-$2000 Floorstanding Speaker Shootout

Continuing in the spirit of shootouts, we have another one from last week at Audioholics. They take a good look at a number of speakers that fall outside their ususal review brands. The shootout takes a look at Krix (little known Aussie company), Salk Sound, DALI, and Infinity. While many would balk at the price of these speakers there are some positives in this price range. The biggest one is that you if you invest in a $1500/pair of speakers, you can connect them to your $500 AVR and get much improved sound. While if you buy that $1500 AVR and connect it to your $500 speakers you will get almost no improvement at all. Assuming a clean source and playing at a volume range your amp can handle, speakers are the driver for quality of sound. So take a look and enjoy!
