5 things to hate about HDTV

If today was even remotely a busy news day I wouldn’t dream of posting this ridiculousness. But at the least I figured this would be good banter in our forums. This guy tries so hard to convince himself how life was better in the SD world. Of course me being a sports guy, this comment stood out the most:

Watching a ball game in HD recently, focused on the batter, I saw his shaving nicks, pores and sweat. I could live with that, but seeing the guy seated three rows behind home plate yawning, rear molars exposed, didn’t do so much for me. Do I need to see that? Do you? This is where less life-like (translate: standard-definition TV, with 480 lines of resolution and many less pixels than HDTV) may be better for true entertainment — and escape.
