ZOTAC to Release Wifi Enabled Mini-ITX Motherboard
The quest for the perfect and smallest home theater PC (HTPC) is one that has gained momentum over the last few years. Not that long ago it was a significant challenge to build a small and quiet home theater PC (HTPC). However, this is no longer the case and the options to create an efficient small form factor PC are expanding even further. Today ZOTAC announced a new mini-ITX motherboard called the A75-ITX WiFi designed for gaming and HTPC applications. Zotac has tried to pack in as many features as possible in the small form factor, and all things considered it appears they did a pretty good job.
The ZOTAC® A75-ITX WiFi features an FM1 socket to take advantage of the latest AMD A8, A6, A4 and E2 series APUs with AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 series. It also features two memory slots which allow for up to 8GB of DDR3 memory at speeds up to 1866 MHz, depending on the APU installed.
There is plenty of expansion with the ZOTAC® A75-ITX WiFi, including a PCI Express x16 slot, up to eight USB 3.0 and four SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports, for maximum internal and external upgrade potential from a compact form factor. Dual Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 networking technologies enable the ZOTAC® A75-ITX WiFi to deliver lightning-fast network transfers over wires or wireless and easily connect to wireless peripherals and phones.
Head over to Zotac.com to see the full press release and feature set of the board. But at a first look it seems like this board paired with one of the many new mini-itx’s chasis recently released would make an addition for a client home theater PC.
