Hey everyone, just wanted everyone to know that I just finished my HTPC Setup, I do have a question about the latest ATI Video drivers for Vista and if they support HDCP yet.
New Setup:
TV – Sony 60XS955 60″ LCoS
Receiver – Sony ES 5
Amps – Adcom GFA-7000 & 7500
Speakers – Acoustic Energy EVO 3’s 6.1
Ahanix MCE601 Silver Case
Intel DG965WH Motherboard
Intel Core2Duo 6600
OCZ 2GB DDR2
3×750 Seagate SATA in RAID5
Visiontek X1600 Pro HDMI
Harmony 880 (Cant wait for the 1000 though)
Hauppauge PVR150MCE
Vista RTM
Windows Experience Rating 4.9 <-- Due to the X1600, next lowest score is 5.5
So, back to the question. I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with ATI's Vista RTM driver making the screen black out, the native driver works great, but the ATI one is killing it. I originally thought it was an HDCP issue, but then I noticed that it also affects the Component output as well, so I think it is just a bad driver build.
Any input would be appreciated..
Thanks,
Brendon
