It’s pretty easy. I have a Sony KDS60-A2000 and I run my desktop with a custom timing in Nvidia’s control panel with a front porch of 1840×1016. Virtually every game I have then has this custom timing in the video options for that game. It’s as simple as selecting a standard 1024×768 or 1920×1080 once you get the advanced timing set in your control panel. For reference I am running a 7800GTX.
