You are absolutely right to be scared. TiVo has gotten the ‘ease of use’ factor down.
When I first embarked on my HTPC journey, it was with the intention of dumping my TiVo S2. I was jazzed by the notion of getting to watch a different program while recording (go figure.)
However, with my frustrations with BTV4 (analog channels quality SUCKS, the DC700 box arbitrarily does not seem to want to pass either audio or video through to the HTPC, the list goes on) caused me to keep the TiVo. The features ARE getting better, but it sure would be nice to have BTV4 working properly.
