Well, I bit the bullet and did it.
Bottom line… very happy.
I did a clean install, so the whole process was about 6 hours in total.
The WAF is really off the hook.
I have had no problems with drivers or my addons (MyMovies, TVTonic, DVRMSToolBox, NVidia Dual TV, Hauppauge PVR 500 – My system is a Dell XPX 410 with 2 gigs.)
All went perfectly, and the additional addons and interface make it well worth the effort.
XBox extender really works well. (My Movies with ripped DVD to MPEG2 is perfect.)
Music is really slick.
TV interface is drastically improved.
Anyway, go for it. You will like it.
