Thanks for writing this Mike. From what I can tell it looks like there are very few reasons to upgrade. It seems that most of Matt Goyer’s listed items don’t even pertain to new features. In fact, the only noteworthy new features from your article seem to be:
1.) Better music collection management
2.) More content on screen
3.) Mini TV guide and overlay
4.) Recorded TV thumbnails
5.) Included MPEG2 decoder
6.) MCPL
I guess what I’d like to see is for this to go into greater detail than just addressing Matt Goyer’s list, as I’m sure there are other issues that Microsoft addressed in MCE 2005 with Vista that might influence users to upgrade.
