I recently signed up for comcast digital HD cable service. I can not figure out how to connect the optical audio out from my stb (set-top box) to my HTPC. I have an Audigy 2 NX external sound card and it has an optical audio input. Connecting the optical audio out of the stb to the Audigy card did not work. I read somewhere on a forum that the Audigy 2 card does not decode dolby digital. Can anyone suggest a piece of hardware for the pc that will decode dolby digital audio from a stb?
