      (%*&@)#%*!#*%!!

Arrgh I hate being broke. And I already have Vista Ultimate now so it’s too late for me. They just took way too long coming to market with these things, and had way too many problems for my tastes along the way. Awesome deal though!!

I’m still annoyed by HP’s configuration however.
      1. How come there isn’t a “none” option for Productivity Software? I already own MS Office 2K7. The Dell cablecard system config let you remove all this bloatware.
      2. Why isn’t there an option for dual digital tuners? Once again, the Dell had it.
      3. Why isn’t there a “none” option for mouse and keyboard? Yeah I know they don’t amount to much, but I’ve already got plenty so why pay more for ones that aren’t as good? Dell let me remove em.
      4. The Dell also had some other options for video cards. I’d expect the 8400 and 8500 to be there, but what about giving an option for something higher for those of us who may be using the system for other purposes besides a dedicated media PC? At least stick an 8600 or 8800 in there, geez.
      5. This one bugs me the most of all. WHY ON EARTH ISN’T THERE AN OPTION FOR VISTA ULTIMATE? LAME! …and of course, the Dell had it.

Now, looking at this list it seems like I’m all Dell this Dell that when in fact the HP had a few things in the config that I preferred over the Dell. But since I’m just listing the ones that bothered me on the HP, it’s totally coincidental that Dell happened to fix those particular items. None of this really matters though since I’m not actually buying one.
