Commercial skipping is the least of the features I’d miss with cablecard recordings. It’s not that big a deal to just hit a button and skip manually. However, there’s plenty of other things that you just can’t do AT ALL that I’d consider far more important. Like streaming to anything other than an extender. Say bye bye to placeshifting, hello to DRM. And forget transferring to portable players too.
