I’ve been using Drive Image XML for drive imaging, it makes decent backups, but I’ve had problems loading images.
This weekend I wanted to rebuild my desktop system and was forced to start from due to Drive Image XML claiming that the partition was smaller than the image. Of course I have not changed any drives or partition since I made the image.
Also Drive Image XML requires the use of BartPE which is not so bad, but a program that can create a bootable image disk would be nice.
Of course the best part of Drive Image XML is that it is free. Does anybody have any recommendations for free (or at least cheap) imaging software? I’m looking at rebuilding my HTPC soon and would like a reliable image program before I begin.
