I bought a PVR-500 because I read good reviews on it, and then I come here and one of the latest reviews says the PVR-500 is a crappy “dry spot” in hauppauge’s history :< I guess the lack of quality I noticed wasn't just me :<
So I'm looking for another PCI analog tuner, probably not dual analog this time, and I want what we all want: high quality and fast channel switching speed.
I can't find conclusive information though! There's the Vista View, the Sapphire 650 Pro, the HVR1600, maybe others. Since they all do the same thing and cost around the same price, we should have a clear winner. But again, no conclusive information!
For example, the Vista View review here said it was as good as the HVR1600, yet the Vista View seemed to have way worse quality in the color bar test. And channel switching speed wasn't even mentioned!
Does anyone actually KNOW which card is the best?! 🙁
