Has any one heard if any new playback software will come out for HD DVD and Blu-Ray besides PowerDVD? From what I’ve heard, you can use WinDVD 8, but it has to be the Japanese version. I was just on Intervideo’s site, and it specifically mentions that it cannot playback HD DVD or Blu-Ray. Man, I’m just tired of not having any options. PowerDVD is not that bad, but not that great either; I want to see what something else can do. I don’t understand why they’re letting Cyberlink have a monopoly here. I know that neither format has a lot of support in the PC realm right now, but how about some other players to get the ball rolling? WinDVD can play a disc in Japan, but they don’t think any one would buy it here?? What gives? Come on, WinDVD, TheaterTek…any one?
