I have a couple question regarding TV tuners. I currently own a Hauppauge pvr-150 but am looking to upgrade to a newer card. My primary reason is terrible picture quality in Vista Media Center.
I am considering the Hauppauge hvr1800 and the Avermedia m780 (I read the excellent review on the site). I would consider other cards based on peoples recommendations.
The questions:
Can I expect a better analog picture out of these newer cards then my PVR150?
Can I watch/record digital cable using these cards
Can I record QAM in Vista Media Center?
I have an HD tv and have tried using an antenna with it. There are only 5-6 channels in my area so OTA HD does not interest me so much.
I would appreciate any feedback..
