Just upgraded to Vista MCE from 2005
Currently using ATI HDTV wonder and Avermedia A180 for digital and Hauppauge MCE150 for analog.
Some of my recordings are terrible and others fine. Based on some digging on TGB it seems some people have success replacing the HDTV wonder with a different tuner.
There are so many options available I’m not sure which direction to go:
Single vs dual on one card
PCI/PCI-e/USB/networked
Most current mobo’s still have 3+ PCI slots (vs 2 PCI-e) so not worried about sticking with PCI, but it would be nice to generate less heat inside the case so dual tuners would be nice. But don’t like USB – too many things sticking out the back.
How do I figure out which tuners are supported and best for me?
