I can’t seem to find a good, solid answer to this question by searching, so I’ll ask it here. I’m looking to buy a remote control for my soon-to-be-completed HTPC. I’m using Vista Ultimate, and my case is the Antec Fusion Black 430, so it has the IR receiver built in. So my questions are as follows:
– I’ve heard good things about the Microsoft MCE remote, but does it work well with Vista Media Center?
– If so, would I need the IR receiver that comes with it, or can I easily use the built-in one of the Antec case?
– Anyone have any other suggestions for a remote that plays nicely with Vista?
– Anyone have experience with using a remote with the Fusion’s built-in IR receiver?
I’ve read that the Harmony remotes work well, but I’m not sure I want to spend that much. I have a tv, receiver, and the HTPC that I’d like to control, but depending on the cost, I’d be happy with something that can just control the computer.
