I know that this is more gamer type news but I found it interesting nonetheless and thought you might too.
I was once again stumbling through cyberspace this afternoon gawking at mostly CES news bits from all the review sites I generally troll.
I came across this little blurb…
http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5104&Itemid=1
…which mentions an upcoming Sapphire HD 3850 with 1GB memory. At first I thought what good news for their high-end offering but a few seconds later the light came on and I realized that they are talking about a mainstream video card with 1GB memory.
So I continued my search for news of their top-of-the-line card with 1GB memory. I found nothing so far.
Unless the link is; a gag, just plain false or I can’t find the info on the HD 3870 the question that arises is why would ATI up the memory on their mainstream 3850 to 1GB but not on their flagship 3870?
