Here’s what I want to do…
I want to build a small sized media ‘box’. This box will house 750GB – 1.5TB of storage, mostly my personal DVD collection, digital music, and digital images. With this box, I want it to basically stay in standby until needed and have a ’10ft interface’ for playing any of the above media via my Harmony 890 remote.

Reason I want to switch…
Even the newest editions of Media Center (Vista) don’t quite do what I want them to (record all of my HD channels being the main one), so my wife an I decided to get a TiVoHD and just use that for TV purposes. So I need to part out my current MCE machine to then build this new media ‘box’.
My question is…
What do you guys suggest? MythTV? Stay with MCE and just disable the SD tuners? Something else? I just need a starting point.
