It has become habit for me to ask you guys for opinions on my contemplated tech purchases as I trust your candid advice. So what if this does not directly have anything to do with my HT? 😉
My laptop is starting to crap out, and I am looking for a replacement.
What do you guys think of this, It looks like a pretty good deal to me:

The only real negative I see is that it has a DVI port rather than HDMI and probably is not HDCP compatible. But, I really don’t plan on playing any protected content through it. Its not like it has cable-card or Blue-Ray.
I’m not very familiar with ASUS Laptops , I knew that they made them, but I never heard much about them–are they any good?
Thoughts? Anything I’m missing?
(Oh, and for those who may be wondering–yes, I did have to put off buying a $100 speaker last week and am now looking to spend over $1200. I actually received a bit of an inheritance on the same day that my existing laptop started freaking out.)
