After successfully implementing an MSI 8500GT in my low profile system, I am ready to attempt to implement a tuner card. What I was wondering is that if there is much of a performance hit going from PCI Express to PCI. Reading some of the guides here, It would seem the main difference is going from a dedicated to shared architecture. Seeing that I do not have any other PCI cards installed, does that mean there would be no decrease in performance or compatability?
Finally, seeing that I need a low profile, PCI card, are there any options available? It seems that all the low profile cards are PCI Express, and unfortunately, my lone PCI-E slot is being used by my video card.
