I’m considering the Avideus Media Center NSE or NLE models. At a list starting at 1499, it seems like they might be the way to go rather than building a similar thing from scratch.
I like the look of the OrigenAE S16V case (mostly). And the UXE is flippin sweet! But dang, the S16V case itself retails for $399 (US). If I’m going to drop the coin for a built system, I’d like to know more about the guts–the Avideus/PCAlchemy sites list specs but not the actual components.
Anyone know what mobo and PSU they are using? What tuner cards they use? I’m interested in finding out so I know what sort of post-purchase upgrade options I’ll have or know what to leave out of the order to buy for myself (e.g. maybe get a different tuner than the one they include).
