So my digital music is all messed up. I’ve got different formats, and many different bit rates. I was thinking of re-ripping the majority of my collection, but do not know where to start.
I know that this topic has come up many times in many places, but I would love a guide that covers the advantages and disadvantages of the different formats available, the effect of bit rates, and best tools to use. I know that this topic can involve opinions upon which reasonable minds may disagree, but I trust you guys to give sound, practical advise that is just what I am looking for.
Perhaps covering three scenarios:
-Storage space be damed, I want quality;
-Balance of space and quality; and,
-Storage sensitive–ready for portable devices.
