A smidgen off the beaten path for this forum but I was hoping someone may have some pointers.
I want to add a modem to my HTPC purely for caller ID purposes. I’m planning on giving http://www.vistacallerid.com/ a spin.
I dropped in a NexxTech card from Circuit City and it functioned but I could not get the caller ID feature to work. According to comments on the Circuit City discussion forum for the product, CID functions only when the modem is on-line. Odd.
Anyone have a CID-capable modem that works with Vista HP SP1 64-bit? I’d prefer an internal card and want to keep the cost under $20 (if not lower).
