Questions of audio seem to be popular lately. I’ve brought this up before, but had forgotten it; but I had this happen again last night. I recorded The Clone Wars Friday night on Cartoon Network for my son on my own HTPC using Sage. The folder is shared, so he was going to watch it last night on his PC. I brought up Media Center on his and started to play the video, but all I got was a picture; it had no sound. I remembered the problem I had before so I exited it out and started playing with PowerDVD. It played fine. Why would PDVD play it, but not MCE? My first thought is the audio decoder of MCE, but it plays DVDs fine and it plays it’s own recordings fine. I guess I’ll start there.
