Thought I’d ask this within a proper title.
Instead of switching my OS, I am considering getting another sound card. After all, what I am after is some sort of proper bass management of the analog channels. So, what sound cards out there have bass management/bass redirection, speaker positioning, and speaker distancing set ups? Since my Yamaha doesn’t have any kind of control over the analog inputs, I’d like a good sound card that can do it. I feel like right now, I’m just sending a “generic” signal to my Yamaha and don’t feel like I’m getting the most out of the sound. I want to be able to tell the sound card that there is no subwoofer and to send LFE to the 2 front mains. I also want to be able to put in the distances from the speakers so the delays will be set correctly just like on my Yamaha. I searched online, but really couldn’t find any information on which cards do this. I did find an article at Creative’s site that showed everything I want, but it didn’t say which card it was talking about.
