Well I finally got Ubuntu Ultimate Edition up and running on a new machine to the point where I feel I can use it as a production machine (YEAH!!) ;D
The MB is using an ATI 3300HD IGP and the drivers are installed, running and the display looks great.  Due to a conflict between the IGP drivers and the desktop effects I have to disable the effects if I want to watch a DVD or video from the net but I found a small app that turns them on & off w/ a click.
My question for the Linux guru’s (as I’m still a noob  ::)) is there a way to playback HD-DVD’s/BlueRays on Linux yet?(I have 2 LG HD-DVD/BlueRay combo drives installed in this machine)  And what is the preferred video player for Linux and is there a good noob setup guide for that player around. (even tho DVDs can play there are still some issues with having them play with their menus so it’s simply clicking on the menu items.)

Many thanks (help a noob escape M$)
