Netflix player stream quality

Has anyone had an issue where the netflix quality dropped significantly due other pcs on the local network doing some heavy downloading.

I would think the NetFlix player could prompt the user with an option to delay starting the film to fill up a local buffer to compensate for low bandwidth before deciding to stream at lower quality.
