In a quest for a truly silent HTPC arrangement, fan selection is quite pertinent. My question to you is what types of fans do you use in your system? Or is your system placed in such an area that noise is not an issue.
I am considering purchasing a couple 120mm fans to aide in my custom unit, but at the same time i worry that too many fans may make too much noise. Has anyone seen this as an issue?
If you use fans what type/brand do you recommend? If not, how do you cool your system? (Water cooled? passive cooling?)
