I’ve been trying to keep my father-in-law up to date in Friday Night Smackdown recordings, but I’ve been running into issues.  I record the show on one of the local digital stations.  Then I’ve been trying to convert the recording to divx to fit on a 2 gb flash drive.  At first I was copying the file to my main PC and using DivX Converter; that PC has an x2 4800 and 2gb RAM.  Each time I do it, the audio is not in sync with the video.  Then I decided to leave the program on the HTPC and install DivX Converter on there; that PC has an E6600 with 1gb of RAM.  The first time I did it, the converted video seemed fine.  So I thought it was the PC.  But I’ve tried twice since then and it still is out of sync.  I’ve also tried AutoGK.  That did the same thing.  I’ve tried DivX and Xvid with AutoGK.  I don’t understand.  I’ve tried compressing anywhere from 800mb to 1.6gb; all have the same results.
