Does anyone here still use MCE 2005? I have an annoying little problem with it whenever I play any kind of video. It will be playing fine and all of a sudden the blue bar will appear at the top, like to close/minimize and the player controls will show at the bottom, like FF, Rew, Pause, etc. This will happen if the mouse is moved, but in this case the mouse is not moved or any other buttons pressed. MCE has been installed on my son’s PC a few times, and this always happens so it just isn’t some glitch that a fresh install cures. Has anyone seen this before and can anything be done? One of my theories is his wireless mouse. It is a rather cheap one, and I’m thinking maybe it’s sending out some kind of signal for no reason that’s causing this to happen. My only other 2nd theory is that the mouse is vibrated either by sound from the TV or something going on within the house. The sound is highly unlikely the problem as he has some very cheap Cyber Acoustic speakers with a very tiny subwoofer; I highly doubt that’s shaking enough to make a mouse move that’s a pretty good ways away. I’m not so sure the mouse is moving by goings on around the house either; it’s hard to believe it would happen every time. Also, I haven’t evaluated this extensively but it almost seems like it’s only a one time per viewing thing. If it happens, and you fix it, I don’t know that it ever happens a 2nd time.
Is this a “glitch” that happens to others?
