If “TV on your PC” really is the message, it sure is an odd one and comes at an odd time. Given how limited the current television options are today when compared with your provider’s STB, it’s a wonder that as many people use the TV feature as they do. Combine that with the lack of any integrated satellite solution, the upcoming switched digital conversion, and I’m thinking Media Center is the ideal solution for everything EXCEPT television.
So interesting that they call that out, but as some of the commenters there have assumed, i do think the transition has already begun to try to sell people on online television rather than traditional means.
Should be interesting to see what happens for the Windows 7 launch.
