OK, all you Arcsoft lovers/PowerDVD haters…I forgot where I saw it, but I read this morning where there will be no native bluray playback (from disc) in Windows 7, but that Microsoft has partnered with Cyberlink for them to handle BR playback within Windows. I’m guessing it will be much like the Arcsoft plug-in. If so, I’m not sure how much of a big deal it will be (if Arcsoft has a plug-in of its own). But I’m guessing it’s supposed to be pretty seamless. Does this mean Cyberlink will be included with Windows 7? If not, again, I don’t see where it’s that big of a deal. I mean, why “partner” with them if you still have to go out and buy the software? What’d be the difference in the way it is now? Has anyone else heard this?
