XLobby really died for me when it was purchased. I was actively developing and improving a full featured skin for it at the time. However, they announced a high price that essentially killed the entire existing community. There are times when I think about going back to it, but too many new things have come along that would not be easily integrated without the supporting community to develop plugins.
