I was wondering if anyone knows if the MediaGate Media Center remote will work with SageTV? I just wonder if you set Sage to use an MCE remote, if Sage will think this MediaGate is the same thing? If it can control everything the same as the Microsoft remote in VMC, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. However, the remote claims to only work with Vista. If it was the same as the Microsoft remote then it should work with MCE 05 as well, but since it doesn’t then I don’t know if my theory of being able to control SageTV (on Vista) is correct.
Speaking of the Microsoft remote. If Microsoft is still putting Media Center in it’s OS’s, then why have they stopped producing the Microsoft remote? I’m guessing they’ve stopped since the remotes are increasingly hard to find.
