I’m not sure if this is the right forum for this topic – none of the other forums really seemed applicable, and this one seems to be closest.

I am running Win 7 Media Center, and record TV shows OTA with dual ATSC tuners. Using the Windows 7 homegroup, I have an effective Softsled setup, being able to stream TV to any PC in my house.

I recently purchased the AT&T Tilt 2 – any jokes about AT&T service aside, the phone has a number of great features.

Using Windows Media Player I can send a .WTV file to my phone. Windows Media Player does a background conversion to a .WMA file and deposits the file on my phone.  This allows me to transfer my recorded TV shows onto my mobile phone for viewing later. The conversion process is fairly effortless – it only requires me to manually initiate it – and doesn’t take very long either.

The problem comes when I view the transcoded file on my phone. The file plays just fine, but it does not take up the full screen even though I select fullscreen in the Windows Mobile Media Center player. I suspect that the video is being converted to a lower resolution than my phone’s 800×480 (maybe 480×272?) so that my phone is displaying the video in a full 1:1 ratio.

Does anyone know how I can get the conversion done to 800×480 and/or get the resulting videos to display fullscreen on my phone?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bill
