Is anyone else finding that WMC’s stability and overall responsiveness and refinement is going downhill with each successive release? (MC 2005 -> Vista -> Win 7)
Sure it looks prettier, but the problems… MC 2005 was rock solid and I only upgraded to vista for new features. Then again to Win 7 in hopes that all the problems I had with Vista would go away… I was wrong. Sound “randomly” just disappears, MC crashes, sluggish GUI (compared to Boxee with the same remote, its night and day), “decoder error”, sometimes decides that it just isn’t going to record certain shows, etc. etc. I could see the argument that some of this could be hardware problem(s), but some of it most definitely is not.
I’ve been Media Center’s biggest fan since the 2005 release, but enough is enough.
Sorry for the rant, but I’m just utterly disappointed. I hope I’m alone on this one.
