First, I do applaud Gefen for their innovations and products they come up with, since they seem to be the first to market with most of these types of gadgets. But, for far less than $1000, I could pay someone to come in, remove the floor moldings, pick up the edge of the carpet, run CAT6 cable around the entire room to the equipment, and install two HDMI over CAT outlets. Doing it yourself, you’d be coming in at around $100-$200, depending on how long the CAT6 cables needed to be. Then again, I know full well that these aren’t targeted at someone like me!
