Hey everyone. I recently purchased extra storage for My main PC and decided to store as much of my DVD collection on it as possible. Ive a few questions about whats the best way to do this. Since I spend a lot of time travelling Ive been using DVD decrypter to get the DVD onto the computer and PSP video 9 to convert it to a playable format for my PSP. I want to upscale the DVD for higher quality playback on my TV but I also need to be able to convert to PSP or even a format that’s suitable for playback on my netbook (for longer trips away).
1. If I rip the DVD then use handbrake to convert using the H264 codec and then delete the original ripped file would I be able to convert to PSP format from the resulting file or is a conversion like this a bad idea?
I don’t really want to have to keep two copies of a film if I can help it.
2. Is it better to convert to the native resolution of my netbook (1024 X 600) or just do playback at 1080/720 provided of course my netbook can handle it (need to experiment with play back).
Thanks in advance for your help
