    Components

SilverStone Aluminum/Steel Micro ATX HTPC Computer Case GD05B (Black)
    Intel Core i3-530 Clarkdale
ASUS P7H55D-M EVO LGA 1156 Intel H55 HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX
    G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
    Windows 7 Home Premium

I’ll scavange the rest from the current XP/Sage box.

This is only a OTA digital PVR.  Honestly, the only reason I’m replacing it  is that the current box is loud and hot and it doesn’t always respond to input or go back to sleep when it should.  Remember the old Silverstone case from years ago that had the two 60mm fans the sounded like twin jet engines?  Yeah, that one.  I hacked up the back to cram in  80mm fans and it was still loud and hot… a real component killer.  Anyway, it will soon be gone.

My real question here is about tuners.  I have:

    Vbox cat’s eye 150
    Vbox cat’s eye USB 3560
    HD HomeRun

Anyone have these working under windows 7 64 bit?

I assume the HD Homerun will be OK but upgrade advisor had no Vbox info.

I’d dump the VBox cards. Both have long since been abandoned. I’ve got a 3560 working under Windows 7 64-bit with the Vista drivers, but it’s more hassle than it’s worth. Channels that scan at 100% on my HDHomerun don’t even come up on the 3560. Not to mention that it doesn’t work under Mythbuntu, either.

I’d consolidate by getting either a Hauppauge HVR-2250 or another HDHomeRun. You’ll be gaining another two tuners, not to mention greater reliability. I have to make sure that shows on certain networks don’t get steered to the 3560.
