My current setup uses an old NVidia DualTV card to capture the signal out of a pair of STB’s via s-video. All the tuning is done via the STB’s which are controlled via firewire. At the time, there weren’t many HD options available so I didn’t worry about it. It’s been a few years now and was wondering if things had changed. I’ve done some reading on hauppauge’s HD-PVR but haven’t seen many other options. All the tuning would have to be done by the STB’s and piped out via component or hdmi so something like the HD homerun wouldn’t really help.
so basically, is the hd-pvr the only option out there?
