Okay, I’ll admit it, I hate the new website.

I’ve been trying to learn to love this new look but I can’t. I don’t like that it looks like Engadget now and I hate the fact that the most recent news, blogs and forum activity aren’t at the top of the page like the old site. Hell, I even thought the gray back ground was cool and the pictures of all the remotes at the top was awesome. After seeing the new site the first time I was half expecting an announcement that the site was purchased by Microsoft…

I’ll be making some of the feedback changes over the weekend. Submit more feedback on Monday
November 19, 2010 at 10:18 pm #29067Mike GarcenFair comments, and let’s be fair, it’s always tough to have change. The old site was our home with the same look and color for 5 years! That’s an awful long time to just instantly adjust in 1 week.
But hang in there, we’ll be making tweaks and modifications to the design of the site over the next few weeks (remember that whole “real job” stuff, booo!) that hopefully will make everyone happier.
Just a reminder, pass along any and all feedback/requests/bugs over at the Site Issues Forum Post
Just because you see something changed or missing, doesn’t mean we did it on purpose 🙂 so no comment is a bad one 🙂

I’m a big fan of Oranje too.
November 20, 2010 at 5:58 pm #29072LowTechIn would like to see the submit news button brought back (or easier to find whatever the case may be). It might not have been used too much but every now and then someone like me might have some “fill” for the community that might otherwise get overlooked in the forums.
Then again maybe I’m the reason that function has been omitted

It will be back. We wanted to iron out any potential issues before enabling it.
November 21, 2010 at 4:50 am #29075ChasseurI just want to say that I like the new website. Reviews, news, guides… it’s well organized.
However, I believe that only the forums part needs some work. I was used to watch the new posts by looking at the list of newest posts at the top of the site. The “Recent Activity” part is close, but not as good as the previous website. There was the (last user) and (msg count) on each line that was useful.
Overall, I believe it’s a great redesign.
November 21, 2010 at 11:22 pm #29077skirge01I’m sure Mikinho is happy to hear that. The recent activity is a major focus and we’re really trying to not only get back to what people (myself included) were used to and enjoyed, but to make it even better. We’ve been tossing around some ideas and are trying them out. So, everyone, please continue the feedback, since we are actively listening to everyone’s thoughts.
November 22, 2010 at 2:21 pm #29083PAPutzbackI’d really like the control panel up towards the top but I guess I can bookmark recent posts so it is my entry page. Can someone post the link for the recent posts RSS feed. My old one doesn’t work anymore.
