CyberLink has a promo if you buy or upgrade to PowerDVD 11, MediaEspresso 6.5 is included free.

MediaEspresso is a transcoding application that can take advantage of the Intel QuickSync feature in Sandy Bridge, AMD APP and NVIDIA CUDA.

Have they improved MediaExpresso’s settings when using QuickSync? I tried the demo a few months ago and found it lacking. While Badaboom2 gave more options for controlling the output. (Love to find a good opensource encoder that uses QuickSync)

I have a copy that I just got around to installing and I didn’t notice any patches so I guess not.

Have you tried out Andrew’s DVRMSToolbox?

I was unaware that it supported QuickSync. That may influence my choice when I do my next HTPC CPU upgrade. Now if only x264 would support QuickSync.
