What I am trying to do is build something like ASRock Vision or more specifically a RipNAS.  I just want a very small Mini-ITX case that has an odd slot and 1-2 2.5″ HD internal bays.  I want to put a sandy bridge Pentium in the machine.  The idea is to replicate the RipNAS idea a little cheaper since I don’t need software (already have it) and I don’t need 1 TB, 320-500 GB more than enough.  My major stumbling point at the start is a case.

    I have found these:

    http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=77&area=en
    http://www.wesena.co.uk/product.php/5/2/itx2
    http://www.hd-plex.com/H3.SODD.html

But all have gotchas like not available, needing expenisve odd or not for sale in US?  Any pointers here.  I really didn’t think the case was the stumbling block but I must be not looking in the right places.

    Thanks.

Take a look at the Habey. I reviewed the non-ODD version, but they do make one with a drive that’s a cheap enough investment that you could play with it. Worth a look maybe?

I think the Wesena Cases look very nice and might work for you.  If you go here, http://www.shop.perfecthometheater.com/, then you can buy a Wesena case in the US.  But looking at it now they might all require a slot loading ODD so I guess that wouldn’t work for you.

The Habey cases look like a close enough match for what you want though.
