I’m heartbroken – my Microsoft remote with tv power button has finally died after five years, and I can’t find anywhere that still has any of these. I want one remote to control the media center and also to turn on/off my tv and control the tv’s volume.
Anyone have any suggestions, either where I can find an exact replacement, or for something to use in its place?
keep checking ebay? otherwise, any of the harmony remotes (they have some fairly low end ones you could get for around $30-40, less used, that could manage both and more

I second the thought of ebay. My wife cannot stand learning different remotes. I now have the ole faithful MC remote with TV power button in each room. That setup works for the wife factor. I got all my remotes off ebay. I still get alerts on the correct model about 2 per week. Plan on paying more now. These must be in demand as they are going for higher prices now.
But, if that is what you want you will find them on ebay.
