MissingRemote.com Giveaway #8 - Phantom Lapboard

Dec 03 2010

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED! THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!!

First off, special thanks again to everyone for participating in our ongoing contest! Wanted to announce the last few winners in case you missed the blogs: Anjani (GT 430), PAPutzback (BigScreenGlobal) & NUKraze (Vidabox CubeCase)!

Next up, courtesy of the fine folks at Phantom Entertainment is their very cool Phantom Lapboard. Our very own Mikinho reviewed this bad boy back in July and he has admitted to me that it's his favorite keyboard/mouse device he's ever used.

"So what is a Lapboard and what makes it unique?  The Phantom Lapboard is a combination 2.4 GHz radio frequency (RF) wireless keyboard and separate wireless laser mouse.  What makes it truly special is an integrated mousing surface beneath the keyboard keys allowing you to use both keyboard and mouse from your lap, hence the aptly named Lapboard."

My HTPC doubles as my gaming pc.  My favorite game to play right now is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Don't game much, but MAME when I do.

no i don't. always had a paltry gpu in it and now that i have a decent one i have no good means for controlling a game, just a shitty fold up bluetooth keyboard that duplicates key presses when you look at it funny. that keyboard above looks like it pairs well with the nxzt phantom (coincidence?) line of computer cases.

Some of the PC games out there are harder than my day job.  I just stick to sitting and drooling on myself in front of the HTPC.

No

61" of TF2 Goodness! Sitting as far back as the wired keyboard will allow... Feels like I'm playing a Pixar movie.

I do no gaming on the htpc. Actually, I dont do much gaming at all but when I do I have a desktop that does that duty.

No games just media.

I do indeed. Mostly SNES and Genesis ROMS. Have to go with Super Mario All-Stars.

No, I don't play games.  Just media.

Nope.  But with a free lapboard I might start...  Smile

Recently the hard drive chrashed in my gaming rig crashed. So, I moved the video card into my HTPC and installed a couple of games just Boarderlands and Split Second. I like playing on the bigger screen and was thinking about installing more, not sure how I'll like the mouse and keyboard from the couch.

No gaming on my HTPC, just pure media, even stripped down win 7.

I bought the XBOX 360 controller so I could play Dirt 2 on my HTPC and eventually the kids started playing L4D2 with it.

Only play one game on htpc, starcraft 2.

I don't play any games on my HTPC.  It's a dedicated media device at this point.

Do not play games there, unless you count playing games on my xbox which is my extender in several rooms.

Nope no games.

I play games rarely.    GTA IV was my favorite.

No.  I'm not much of a gamer.  HTPC is for home theater use only.

No games

No, my HTPC is just for media & daily browsing. I don't even play games on my Xboxes!

No games for me either.

I play games, when my kids are awake its old SNES games, when they are asleep its Half Life 2

I do not play games on my HTPC. PS3 is used.

I used to play emulated NES games through my HTPC. I even bought a USB NES controller!

I have X-Wing Alliance loaded on my HTPC and as soon as I get a new flight stick I will be back crushing the Rebellion.

Do you play games through your HTPC? If so, what's your favorite?

Not yet.  I don't have time to play games anymore.  Though I would like to experiment with that more once I get my new system in place.

No games. The WAF can only be pushed so far.

No gaming, just watching media.

No games, nor do I intend to play games on it

Do you play games through your HTPC? If so, what's your favorite?

Yes and my favorite game is NFS.

Not really. I tried Onlive for a while but didn't really have time to dedicate to it.

My system does play games, usually the Sims 3 or City of Heroes.

Nope

No gaming for me.

No games for me. I want stability.

No.  Computer games are this generation's Heroin.   Once you're addicted, it's too hard to stop.

Maybe a NES emulator would be fun, but I have consoles for gaming.

Nope, htpc case did not fit my gtx295 so moved on to 9800gt and now gt430.  Don't miss playing games on it either.

I dont play games on my HTPC.

No, purely home theater related stuff on the computer.  I have a PS3 for gaming.

No gaming, but to win I'll pick Myst ... last game I played on a computer
