News - Intel announces "Compute Card" to replace Compute Stick

You can read more about what the Intel Compute Card is and what's inside in the linked article, but when you do that keep in mind how awesome a HTPC this make. Where you buy a chassis which provides the basic shell connectors (Ethernet, HDMI, SATA, etc) and you can easily upgrade the CPU/GPU every few years as they add fancy new features.

News - Intel Core m3-6Y30 Compute Stick Reviewed @ Anandtech

With 2x2 802.11AC, the Intel Core m5 based Compute Stick looks like a pretty reasonable HTPC. Pricing ($390) is a bit on the high side though considering what you can do with with an Atom NUC, but if the form factor is required...

News - Cherry Trail Intel Compute Stick reviewed @ AnandTech

The review reads a lot like the last rev, at least when it comes to HTPC performance, so I am a bit disappointed. That said, it is in interesting look at year-on-year gains in the form factor.

News - Intel @ CES 2015

Intel is moving hard into small, low power devices and that was evident in what they were showing at CES this year. We started out with tablets, but the really interesting stuff started when the new Broadwell NUC came out.
