Enermax Aurora Micro Wireless HTPC Keyboard

Original Article Link

I skimmed the article and I didn't see a price and also did not read anything about it being backlit.

The price is on the last page of the article:

When you search this product you'll be able to spot it for roughly 75 USD/EUR, and that is a fair price considering the build-quality, functionality and materials used.

Looks like a promising keyboard.  I have been trying to decide what to do since my Di-
nova Mini Died as of lately :/

I iwsh MS would update their keyboard. It has lasted about 6 years and made it through the abuse of two toddlers.

I'm going to try and teach my harmony remote the commands from my imon remote tonight.  Over at remote central they are claiming that this does the trick.  I much rather use my harmony remote over the imon remote for WMC7

out of curiosity what are other people using as a wireless keyboard?  I'm trying to find something small and I liked the Dinova Mini but I have a hardtime justifying paying 150$ for it again.

I'm using this nMEDIA keyboard.  My 2 complaints?  The low battery light never comes on when the batteries need replacing, so I start troubleshooting other things before checking the batteries.  Also, the left mouse button seems to break easily.  Mine starting sticking after only a couple months of use.  Granted, I probably use my kb quite a bit more than most HTPC users because I regularly browse the internet on it.  It still works, but just every so often it won't click.

Other than that, I do love it, though!

that looks nice.  If I go the keyboard route I think I may go with the enermax.  There arent too many places that sell it though.  I was looking at getting the new lenovo multimedia remote but no one seems to sell it.  Lenovo doesnt even have it on they're website anymore.

thats a very nice alternative, cheap too!  It does look cheap though :/  Still kind of leaning towards the enermax.  What about remote controls for WMC.  Going to work on getting my harmony 720 working this weekend.  Had no luck this past weekend.

if only this keyboard had a trackball on it :/

You might want to poke around that Brando site some more, they have a ton of cheap keyboards that might fit the bill for different usage needs. Seriously, like at least a dozen. There also seems to be an even newer (and smaller) version similar to the one I reviewed.

very nice find jen...I really do like that one.  Looks like I have my harmony all sorted out now!  I think I will purchase that keyboard it looks nice and small which is what I was looking for since I dont do a ton of surfing on my HTPC.  I'll have to give a review of it when I return from vacation.

Sweet! I'm eager to see the differences to the one I'm using.

Why pay 150 again? Second remote or did the first break? The only problems with the MS keyboard I have is the line of sight for the IR and I am the only one that has used it enough to work the little joystick well. To bad we can't use the 360 controller with keyboard attachment.

It was the first one I had and it broke after about a year.  I didnt abuse it or anything; just regular use.  I did buy the lenovo remote for 40$ been pretty happy with it so far.
