I contacted SageTV about my issue and they pointed me to the recently updated .ax file.  I swapped that out and it fixed some other things, but I still can’t get PCM working.  I uninstalled AC3Filter and set ffdshow to “AC3 (S/PDIF encode mode)” and that got audio playing back, but the receiver is showing DD or stereo, which means that PCM isn’t being sent from the computer, since I’ve seen the receiver say PCM in the past.

I’m really considering just updating my videocard to get bitstreaming working, since that seems to be less troublesome.
